[The flowers she's thinking of seemed okay with weight given she and 9S walked through them, but they're also small enough to be able to maneuver around them. That's clearly not the case for the dragon, no matter how strong the flower.
It's a bit of a shame. It would've been nice to see lunar tears like that again.]
I hope you do, too. If you need help, I know someone who should be able to determine what plants here can thrive in the dark.
[as they've walked, the landscape has changed somewhat around them, with the forest getting thicker and the hush around them deepening. now, a new sound appears: a babble of fast-moving water.]
9S. He's an android like me. [Although given how social he is, she wouldn't be surprised if the two of them had already met.
The deeper they walk into the forest, the more she's reminded of her world honestly. Even though there were a number of machines living there, walking through the heart of it was a lot like walking through this part of the forest. Silent save for the sounds of running water and the wind blowing through trees. It's rather calming, even if she still has no idea what to expect out of all this.]
You're pretty excited. [To say the least. It's... kind of endearing.]
Really? Nines can do that? I've met him! We're friends. He helped me figure out what to do for you, actually.
[Geir is surprised to hear that -- he thinks of 9S as someone who understands technology rather than plants. he's still very much looking forward to the non-biological lights that his new friend promised him, but he dutifully notes down in his mental checklist that he might be able to help with finding out new information about plants, too.]
Of course I'm pretty excited! I worked hard on this. And here we go...
[with that, they emerge into a small clearing with a stream running through it. there are two notable things about the scene: one, the swift silver fish that occasionally leap up from the water, and two, the three boulders wedged carefully into something like a comfortable, 2B-sized seat in a shaded curve of the waterway. simply put, it's a personal fishing spot -- and not one that looks like anyone else has found it yet.]
[Just as she thought. At this point, she thinks 9S knows the entire coven.]
He's a Scanner model, so he has a lot of information about a wide variety of things. If he doesn't have intel about the plant life here already, it wouldn't be too difficult for him to gather it.
[Shamelessly takes any opportunity to let everyone know just how skilled and great 9S is!! But when they come into the clearing and she takes everything in, her mouth drops open slightly. There's no denying the awe in her face, even with half of it covered. She'd already be happy just to be shown another fishing spot, but there's no mistaking the way the boulders are arranged. This was definitely made for her.]
This is incredible. [And she smiles. It's a small one, but it's there, soft and warm.] Thank you, Geir, really.
[he barely has time to finish that part of the conversation before 2B sees the fishing spot and he's able to sit back and watch her reaction. Geir preens, very obviously, sitting up straighter and puffing out his chest a bit. he even unfolds and refolds his wings in bashful satisfaction. his gambit worked just as planned, mwahahahaha!]
Oh, it was nothing. We found this stream, and I'd heard you liked fishing from Nines, so...!
[bullshit it was nothing. he's so pleased with himself.]
Me'n'Vern haven't told anyone else about the fish yet, so you can share it or not. Whatever you like.
[There's no way those rocks just rolled themselves into a perfectly-sized seat, she doesn't buy it!! But more than that, seeing him look so pleased and happy with her reaction is nice. She still doesn't think this was necessary, but if it made him this happy to show this to her, who was she to argue?]
It'd be best to make use of all the resources we have for everyone, but... [There is something appealing about the idea of having somewhere private to fish at. Sure, the abandoned house already gave her a place to rest privately at, but this felt different somehow. Besides, it's not like she'll be keeping the fish to herself when she doesn't even need to eat. This should be fine, surely.] I'll keep that in mind. Thank you.
[Geir ducks his head in acknowledgement of all 2B's statements -- she's right that it wasn't nothing, but he doesn't feel like he did her any massive, special favor, either. it's just a nice thing for a nice person! and he's genuinely fine with whatever she decides about sharing her fishing spot.]
Sounds good, 2B. Well, that was your surprise...!
[he glances over at her, warmly pleased with her reaction.]
How have you been doing, anyway? I haven't seen you since Aimintas.
[Sure, she would've been surprised by anything since she didn't feel like he owed her anything for the gold in the first place, but it's safe to say that she never could've expected something as pleasant and fitting as a personal fishing spot.]
I've been well. Living here isn't as convenient as it was on Aimintas, but I've managed. [Given that maintaining herself simply isn't as taxing as it is for humans. They could've been provided absolutely nothing, and she probably would've been fine. She knows that's not the case for most of the coven here though.] And yourself?
There's a lot to clean up and keep busy with here, isn't there? I don't mind it, but I don't see how our being here for so long will help Qri. [Unless this world is also a place to fix and draw magical energy from? She doesn't see how though.]
That's true. I can't say I'd know how a witch thinks.
[Her opinion on Qri is a lot more neutral compared to the others here from what she's gathered, but she knows her situation is a bit unique. Not to mention, well, it's kind of hard to have an opinion on someone's she's never seen or spoken with.]
[Geir sighs grandly, drooping -- but really, it's much too nice a day to worry about what in the world Qri is up to, or why she does what he does. he brightens again after another moment, lifting his head.]
Well-- whatever. Umm, if we do have time left here, you can do anything else to this spot that you want. Maybe you'll give me and Vern ideas.
[Geir doesn't know how often they'll both be there to see if the fish is jumping, but he's sure that 2B will be quiet, pleasant company when they are.]

[he sits up very straight and curls his tail neatly around his front feet, like a cat, to look down at her. a very proper conversation.]
It's near here, so that's how we got to this place. Vern said it was okay to share, though. I've been spending a lot of time helping clean it up!

I don't like Qri much, but whether she wants us for what she said she does or not, what she's doing probably makes sense at least to her...
