It's fine. I wasn't expecting anything in return for them anyways. [Can't a girl just go around handing out free money in peace!!] But I'm glad you were able to make use of it.
Hm... Alright, if you insist. [She doesn't quite laugh, but there's a faint hint of amusement in her tone.] Where are you right now? I'll head to your location.
Is there anywhere you know near the western mountain slopes to meet me? There's a lagoon and a couple of caves to the south... or I can come get you at that house that Nines was staying at. I'll lead you to where we're going.
[now that he's successfully convinced her to come see her surprise, he sounds eager and excited; this is going to be great!]
[when 2B arrives, Geir is waiting for her, coiled up around himself with his chin on the abandoned stone bench. it seems to be an excellent headrest. he looks up eagerly when he hears her step.]
[And she arrives there quite quickly, coming to a stop by Geir a little too easily and smoothly to be natural given how fast she came in running. There's still something almost surreal about knowing a dragon, but here they are.]
[there's something surreal about knowing an android, too. after 9S's revelations, Geir watches 2B's approach with a slightly more knowledgeable interest. someone made of metal and circuits... that's still just incredible.]
Hiya! I made you someplace special, so it shouldn't take too long to get there. How have you been?
[he turns to lead her further into the trees, traveling northwest-ish.]
[And she follows, making sure to keep pace with him. She's really curious now about what he possibly could've made for her, but she'll find out soon enough.]
I've been well. There's a lot to work on here. [Fishing for the greater good of feeding everyone, what more could she ask for.] And yourself?
Me and Vern found a cave to live in, so we've mostly been cleaning it out! Oh, but I've been exploring, too. And thinking about what else we're all going to do here. Honestly, it's been really fun...
[he can't help but enjoy the circumstances of the coven -- meeting people, looking at new things, and messing around with them when you find them. it feels like a kind of holiday for a curious, social dragon, especially now that he has a lair to retreat to.]
Speaking of which, have you guys found any cleaning stuff that smells good? We've just been using water and sand and grass.
[Living in a cave... It sounds a little strange to her, but given Geir's size, they probably don't have much choice. While she's not the type to care much about decorating or making a place feel like home, she can understand them wanting to freshen the cave up like that.]
Cleaning stuff that smells good... I can't say that I have, but maybe you could try planting flowers there. I've been to a cave before where the ground was almost completely covered in flowers, and it smelled nice.
Are there any flowers that grow in the dark? It's not very sunny in there...
[Geir's tone sounds somewhat arrested by the idea, though; a carpet of flowers is a difficult idea to get out of one's head. thinking it through, a lot of flowers on the ground would be unlikely to make it inside their cave, though. he sighs regretfully as he finishes making his way to that conclusion.]
...no... it probably wouldn't work. I'm too big and heavy, so if I walked on the floor, I could hurt them. But maybe the walls, if there are any shade-loving plants that climb rock.
[he gives a pleased little wriggle at that idea.]
Good thing there are so many trees and plants around here! Maybe we'll find something.
[The flowers she's thinking of seemed okay with weight given she and 9S walked through them, but they're also small enough to be able to maneuver around them. That's clearly not the case for the dragon, no matter how strong the flower.
It's a bit of a shame. It would've been nice to see lunar tears like that again.]
I hope you do, too. If you need help, I know someone who should be able to determine what plants here can thrive in the dark.
[as they've walked, the landscape has changed somewhat around them, with the forest getting thicker and the hush around them deepening. now, a new sound appears: a babble of fast-moving water.]
9S. He's an android like me. [Although given how social he is, she wouldn't be surprised if the two of them had already met.
The deeper they walk into the forest, the more she's reminded of her world honestly. Even though there were a number of machines living there, walking through the heart of it was a lot like walking through this part of the forest. Silent save for the sounds of running water and the wind blowing through trees. It's rather calming, even if she still has no idea what to expect out of all this.]
You're pretty excited. [To say the least. It's... kind of endearing.]
Really? Nines can do that? I've met him! We're friends. He helped me figure out what to do for you, actually.
[Geir is surprised to hear that -- he thinks of 9S as someone who understands technology rather than plants. he's still very much looking forward to the non-biological lights that his new friend promised him, but he dutifully notes down in his mental checklist that he might be able to help with finding out new information about plants, too.]
Of course I'm pretty excited! I worked hard on this. And here we go...
[with that, they emerge into a small clearing with a stream running through it. there are two notable things about the scene: one, the swift silver fish that occasionally leap up from the water, and two, the three boulders wedged carefully into something like a comfortable, 2B-sized seat in a shaded curve of the waterway. simply put, it's a personal fishing spot -- and not one that looks like anyone else has found it yet.]
[Just as she thought. At this point, she thinks 9S knows the entire coven.]
He's a Scanner model, so he has a lot of information about a wide variety of things. If he doesn't have intel about the plant life here already, it wouldn't be too difficult for him to gather it.
[Shamelessly takes any opportunity to let everyone know just how skilled and great 9S is!! But when they come into the clearing and she takes everything in, her mouth drops open slightly. There's no denying the awe in her face, even with half of it covered. She'd already be happy just to be shown another fishing spot, but there's no mistaking the way the boulders are arranged. This was definitely made for her.]
This is incredible. [And she smiles. It's a small one, but it's there, soft and warm.] Thank you, Geir, really.
[he barely has time to finish that part of the conversation before 2B sees the fishing spot and he's able to sit back and watch her reaction. Geir preens, very obviously, sitting up straighter and puffing out his chest a bit. he even unfolds and refolds his wings in bashful satisfaction. his gambit worked just as planned, mwahahahaha!]
Oh, it was nothing. We found this stream, and I'd heard you liked fishing from Nines, so...!
[bullshit it was nothing. he's so pleased with himself.]
Me'n'Vern haven't told anyone else about the fish yet, so you can share it or not. Whatever you like.
[There's no way those rocks just rolled themselves into a perfectly-sized seat, she doesn't buy it!! But more than that, seeing him look so pleased and happy with her reaction is nice. She still doesn't think this was necessary, but if it made him this happy to show this to her, who was she to argue?]
It'd be best to make use of all the resources we have for everyone, but... [There is something appealing about the idea of having somewhere private to fish at. Sure, the abandoned house already gave her a place to rest privately at, but this felt different somehow. Besides, it's not like she'll be keeping the fish to herself when she doesn't even need to eat. This should be fine, surely.] I'll keep that in mind. Thank you.
[Geir ducks his head in acknowledgement of all 2B's statements -- she's right that it wasn't nothing, but he doesn't feel like he did her any massive, special favor, either. it's just a nice thing for a nice person! and he's genuinely fine with whatever she decides about sharing her fishing spot.]
Sounds good, 2B. Well, that was your surprise...!
[he glances over at her, warmly pleased with her reaction.]
How have you been doing, anyway? I haven't seen you since Aimintas.
[Sure, she would've been surprised by anything since she didn't feel like he owed her anything for the gold in the first place, but it's safe to say that she never could've expected something as pleasant and fitting as a personal fishing spot.]
I've been well. Living here isn't as convenient as it was on Aimintas, but I've managed. [Given that maintaining herself simply isn't as taxing as it is for humans. They could've been provided absolutely nothing, and she probably would've been fine. She knows that's not the case for most of the coven here though.] And yourself?
There's a lot to clean up and keep busy with here, isn't there? I don't mind it, but I don't see how our being here for so long will help Qri. [Unless this world is also a place to fix and draw magical energy from? She doesn't see how though.]

[they might not have been a big deal to 2B, but they were to Geir, and he's determined to repay the act of generosity.]
Sorry it took a month to find something...
